All those Sri
Lankans who do not believe that a viable and effective opposition is needed
immediately to counter the massacre of what is left of Justice and the Rule of
Law, must have their heads examined, and worse be ashamed of themselves.
There are no more
apologies for the existence of this Government except the lack of a leader to
replace this ruinous mob. So why is it so hard for those against this
Cleptocracy, where anything valuable is stolen by them, to unite under one
banner, and one man. That is called putting your differences aside in the
interests of your country. It is an appeal to the true patriots who are not
looking for anything for themselves, and only working in the interests of their
country.
So why can’t we
find that magical person to fill the void? Simply because the magical person we
found last time, has completely fooled all altruistic Sri Lankans to the extent
they are disgusted, and he got to that position by destroying the credibility
of the only person left in Sri Lankan politics who did not have blood and graft
on his hands, namely Ranil Wickremasinghe. He is the only person we have in Sri
Lanka today, who even the Chinese trust, as he has never let anyone down as far
as relationship with our foreign friends is concerned, has had his credibility
ruined wrongly and mercilessly, and maligned deceitfully and shamefully, by the
current Govt., to the extent that his party has rejected him.
They are trying to
find a PR man like Rajapkse, who while muttering to the infant I have left you
a debt of Rs400K you will never be able to repay, for the picture is kissing
the child, and getting away with it. Even the UNP fools are taken up by such
sickening antics that they look for another with the same trait.
In Sajith
Premadasa, some see similarities, but all those who know him better know he is
an even worse imposter than the former. His past is a disgrace hidden from his
supporters and he is helped along by the Rajapakses as they know the only
credible opposition to them can be further vilified by supporting him, so they
can stay in Govt. till they are ready to fly the coop with the loot.
The trust the
people had for MR has now been lost by the disgraceful treatment of a
politically inept General who made a few ill advised threats, thinking he would
have people who would believe him. It has further been eroded by the shameful
way the Treasury is being pick pocketed by the family, when the country could
have benefited from a just and fair leadership. We know what history will say,
but we don’t want our country destroyed just to read history!!
Sri Lanka
desperately needs a leader, currently none of those in the fray are capable, of
receiving the “public’s trust” and so we must find our Leader from without. We
live in a media world, and so people’s opinions can be easily manipulated. We
have seen how that has kept the electorate still voting in this Govt. as there
has NOT been a credible opposition that has been able to match the financial
and resources of this Govt. to show the people the dirty tricks they have been
up to deceive them, and preventing the Country being served by people who
genuinely have the interests of the Country only at heart.
How can a leader
even if he is in waiting, counter this misinformation juggernaut that is so
powerful, wealthy and using threats control all forms of media, and overcome
all these barriers and emerge as the Leader who can take this Country forward,
in a direction it only deserves? It needs that special person.
This Govt. has
created the foundation for the destruction of the Country, the division into
three or more parts, as people of different races and religions are now
alienated to the Sinhala Buddhist majority to whom a fear of being drowned out
has been subtly been created. All races react
together when threatened and it is a normal act of human beings or even in the
animal kingdom. This threat is imagined for political gain only, it is done for
personal longevity, and an act of treachery against one’s own country.
There are people in
Sri Lanka, young dynamic and selfless, who do not wish to line their pockets and
of their friends. I appeal for one of them to emerge to throw down the gauntlet
and challenge this mob. I am confident that there will be more than you can
imagine who will instantly rally round you, and within days pose a threat to
this theft.
Within days, the
possibility of their ruling life being yanked, they will immediately instigate
counter measures, and projects aimed at building their trust. Corruption will
dive, as everyone implicated will want to turn over a new leaf if they wish to
live in Sri Lanka and those who feel unsafe will just take the next plane to retrieve
their loot and live in exile in some tax haven never to interfere in Sri Lanka again.
It does not take long
for wrongs to right themselves, and within months this new entrant, will be heralded
as one who saved this nation from itself. The people will then realize who and what
it was they did to pull the wool over everyone’s eyes, and be grateful to the new
leader for relieving the Country of the cancer, replacing the hope, aspirations
and realistic expectations of our people for a better future, devoid of lies, corruption,
thuggery, theft, division, and tin pot dictatorship.
