The POLITICIANS -MPs are trying to take the 19th to ransom – don’t do it!

The main plank of the MPs who are trying to scuttle the 19th Amendment is because they fear an erosion of their powers.

In short let us get rid of ALL the 225 Parliamentarians and elect only those who have NEVER been MPs in the past to the NEXT PARLIAMENT.

Just imagine how refreshing the place will be. None can be as bad as the present 225 in Parliament. They together are a disgrace to this august chamber, having desecrated it throughout the past 5 years, by jumping by threatening and by holding the people who elected them to ransom.

This joke about passing the 19th and then at the Committee Stage permitting the removal of the Independent People from the Commissions and STUFFING it with these rascals so called underworld MPs goes against the whole idea of having Independent Professionals in the Constitutional Councils, with a minimum number of MPs. That is the whole idea of checks and balances, to keep a check on MPs overstepping their remit.

So this Good Governance Procedure which is a cornerstone of the 19th Amendment is in fear of being compromised, as at the Committee Stage a mere simple majority is sufficient to change the Status Quo returning the powers ostensibly removed from MPs back to them.

It is important that the public at large realize this threat to Democracy and makes sure their MPs DO NOT get into the act of trying to retake some of the powers they lose, by this sly route of the Committee stage amendments.

The horse trading currently taking place in Parliament where an UNFIT majority are presiding over the people who have clearly made their voice known in the past January 8th Election, must listen to the verdict of the people and Act with responsibility towards the people, and NOT for a few personal interests that are clearly against the will of the people.

IT MUST BE REMEMBERED that the Parliamentarians in their 5th year of shenanigans, have completely lost plot as far as the desire of the people of Sri Lanka for a “good governance” state and are merely interpreting this word with SCORN as if it is a dirty word.

Unfortunately, at an election people have short memories and tend to re-elect familiarity, even though they are NO GOODERS!!!

It is with this knowledge that I propose that NO prior MP be elected to Parliament! This will prevent any sides being taken, and I am convinced the MPs newly elected will take their job more seriously and realize that they do not have a job for life, but are simply caretakers of the people’s trust, something the current bunch of 225 have completely forgotten. I appeal to the fair minded public NOT to let a bunch of bandits dictate how this Country should be governed, the same bunch who have mishandled everything to date, so anyone is better than them, and so the Country will also be better off with the infusion of new blood.

The Enviromental Damage caused during 10 years of Rajapakse rule

is enough to send the lot of them to the Gallows – and they still (due to lack education) think they did no wrong!

It will take 10 years for the people of Sri Lanka so fooled by a bunch of clever fools (tautology where they are only clever enough to fool people into a false sense of contentment) to realize that the Country’s environment and damage to it will take a few lifetimes to reverse if we begin now with a firm commitment to point out individual instances and try to reverse. Actually in many instances there is NO chance of that, as wells have already run dry, and so have springs, and it is the people of this Country who will have a lower quality of life as a result of their actions.

Sadly the death penalty in the stature books does not cover environmental crimes, however along with CKDU being grossly exacerbated due to the Rajapakse rule of misinformation, and purchase of low quality harmful fertilizer and import of pesticides, has also indirectly led to the death of over 100,000 people as the next 10years of death will also be attributable to the last 10 years of rule.

In order to understand the culpability of these criminals, people will first have to be educated on what environmental damage does to individual wellbeing. Then they must ask the questions as to who permitted this or even ordered these environmentally detrimental activity. Then they must be able to match with the policies and who set those policies, and why. As in the case where Rs 2.5B was given to hide the draft of the Senaka Bibile Bill, by many Pharmaceutical Companies contributing to bribing the relevant Govt. politicians, we will have to dig deep and find the culprits and then pin the blame on them, and then explain clearly to a skeptical public still inebriated from misinformation, how it would affect them directly and harmfully, perhaps fatally.

It is only then that their anger, will be aroused and steps will be taken to change the laws so that criminals will be brought to book. It only takes experts to realize that the current behavior of the Rajapakse brothers is clearly of guilty people, shamefully trying to hide behind other people’s skirts. So the ignorant will just have to bide their time until they come to the realization of the size of the deception.

The accuse talk of revenge. There is NO proof of that. All this time the Govt. institutions were prevented from doing their jobs by this same clique protecting their criminals from prosecution, and now those roadblocks have been lifted and they are permitted to do their job. It does not require any demands or requests on the part of the present Administration to get them to perform their duties to which they have been appointed and paid.

We must therefore understand the background, the active steps taken to deceive the public and the modus operandi of their hold on power, if we are to explain to people that these practices led the uninitiated being kept in the dark for so long. We must expunge any thought of a return of these traitors in any form in future, as these leopards cannot change their spots and change for the better, even if they say or pretend to try!

Despite the initial uncertainties, any administration without them is better. It was based and set up under the wrong foundations, so cannot be built upon however hard one tries.

Nissanka Senadhipathi – Avant Garde and the Rs 20M Ad spend professing deism

Can people be so dumb as to believe that there is any truth in the hugely expensive bought ads that a body, most likely representing the man himself, retired Major Nissanka Senadhipathi, is putting in double page spreads, on Sundays, in the most expensive newspaper for Ads in Sri Lanka?

These ads give sources of  people who purport to deify this man who has helped them out of tight spots, with money, and when one reads some of the reasons, they defy imagination, as after the particular operation was paid for or need fulfilled, he continues to make this monthly payment with NO strings to date! Either he is a fool, a liar or a charlatan, as otherwise no rational Human Being who helps people will continue to assist them when they NO LONGER require such assistance.

Giving this man the benefit of the doubt as a caring person, who spends Millions a year helping the needy, does that justify him not being hounded or prosecuted for crimes? Put simply, for one who say helps people to the tune of Rs50M a year, and who does not pay even Rs5M a year in taxes, as all his income is from the export of services and is therefore tax free, he must be earning Rs5B a year from his Business!

The Company Avant Garde Services will not disclose this income because it would be open to threats and Extortion in Sri Lanka, so most of the money is earned in off shore companies from which he can fund his charitable activities without prying eyes or people asking where he gets the money from.

He is fortunate to earn foreign exchange in a business that has Security Consultants as the customer base. By definition most of these companies wish to be under the radar as they are run by ex-servicemen, who wish to keep their activities hidden from the Tax authorities in their own countries just as much as Senadhipathi wishes to keep out of SL prying eyes.

That is how his motto, of there is always a price for everything, he is able to demand loyalty or more correctly buy loyalty, as Sri Lankans are willing to sell their soul for a few bucks to the highest bidder, and there is NO one not even the GOSL who will offer more to set him up.

So if it comes to hiring prostitutes for senior officials to have them in compromising positions so they don’t squeal, or ensuring his name is untainted, he is able to buy that.

The investigations by GOSL on Avant Garde are unable to find the real crimes, as it is the last Govt. that has given him a MONOPOLISTIC certificate to carry out all international transactions. You therefore have a license to print money. If there was competition, then there will be many more. It is impossible to prove if this was paid for! (Bribe)

When one looks at the fact that he has the past three Navy Commanders as his               consultants on a massive retainer, he has simply denied the SL Navy this revenue in     favor of him, and when he needs the services of the SL Navy, he can count on it on       an as needed basis. That is the problem, but the investigators have no clue how to         get him for the real crime.

The Rajapakses finally face their Waterloo – its high time too, we waited too long!

At the 200th Anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo, the Rogues of Sri Lanka have finally met their match. The Bribery Commission appointed by the Rajapakse administration, who have been  prevented by threats from exercising the powers have after 10 years of receiving complaints are FINALLY able to act on the complaints. It is not as if they are taking revenge, it is just that they are doing their job finally, people are not afraid to talk.

There has been NO interference from the present Govt. as regards to the investigations and it is merely coincidental that the timing came at the worst possible moment for the Govt. as it tries desperately to pass to pass the 19th Amendment before dissolution!

What is worse, if one is innocent of the allegations one would not wish to make rash statements that Rajapakses never engaged in wrong doing whilst in power! Further today, (23rd April) Gota had the nerve to say that no one will work in public service if they are treated like this. He should have said that no one will try to steal what is rightfully NOT theirs. Even Mahinda Rajapakse had chimed in with his swansong, that they should go to jail as he also served 3 months in jail!!! He implies that jail time is an essential for power.

Just goes to show how behind the times he is. We are not in a fight for independence. We are in a fight for justice for the downtrodden, and a return of stolen goods back to the their rightful owners, the people of Sri Lanka.

Despite all this, the people are still skeptical that justice will prevail and that the Rajas well get off scott free despite them being the leaders of the expropriation of assets from the Country. When nothing could happen without the signature of a Rajapakse, the convictions MUST start at the top, as they were the primary recipients of the largesse and the others mere recipients of scrap from their tables after their greed had been satiated.

Only a few days ago people were complaining that the crooks were not being taken in or convicted. Now the other side is complaining there is a witch hunt. What utter hogwash. The law takes its time, and until there is sufficient evidence people are not taken in for questioning. It is better to deal with the bigger crooks first and then go for the lower order.

Let us trust our Courts to have the courage of their convictions to be impartial and efficient in the distribution of justice, and that sentences will be in keeping with the extent of the crime. It is important to fine these people appropriately and with the evidence of billions being socked away, it is best to demand immediate payment or face double jail time.

A good media campaign MUST convince the people of their guilt, so they don’t hold any doubts. There should be no appearance of any revenge, even though the MR administration would have indulged in that if roles were reversed and they are currently pretending to be like angels who could do no wrong.

We would like the allegations in public, and the people given details of what they did so that the doubting Thomas’s can just shut up, and come to terms with the reality that the people they hero worshipped were actually the scum of the earth, stealing from them.

What goes around comes around! The Rajapakse turning circle - bribery and abuse of power

The sheer death defying arrogance of a family, who collectively made all decisions of any consequence in Sri Lanka, now implying that it is a politically motivated witch-hunt, is due to their judging the scene from their own perspective and standards.

In an era where nothing was done other than through their demands, insistance and authorization, when suddenly there is Governance where Servants of the State are finally using the powers vested in them by Act of Parliament, and are exercising this authority, they sometimes misunderstand ‘doing their job’ for Witch-hunt. It must be remembered who it was who engaged in witch-hunts.

Does anyone doubt that the Sarath Fonseka saga was a witch-hunt? So when you falsely accuse someone of wrongs on trumped up charges, you don’t see your own imperious acts of defiance as being illegal. It is time you faced the full force of the law.

Who said governing was easy. If you go above your remit you are liable to be taken to task for it one day, and whilst you believe you can rule forever, facts prove otherwise. It is with this in mind that the enormous malpractices, that the Rajapakse’s don’t believe they engaged in as they are unable to distinguish between criminal acts, and  those that are not, is what is at fault, and NOT the system under which they are investigated.

It is therefore very important that the Law is allowed to take its course, and the Media inform the ignorant public that “the law is finally taking over from lawlessness”. This is what we need to explain to the uninitiated on what is happening, that it is a normal part of accountability for actions outside their areas of responsibility, and breaking the law.

We have just heard that Ghotabaya’s Lawyers have asked for time in coming up with explanations for his actions, and therefore released when he was just about to be arrested for crimes. It is giving him the benefit of the doubt, something not given in his regime.

If you take the Ghota case there are thousands of his supporters, who because he cleaned up Colombo, made walkways and restored old buildings with Military Precision, cannot believe he is a criminal, must understand that the most upstanding person can later be found out to be a serial rapist, a child abuser, a wife beater or extortionist or amassed illegal wealth

It is better that Ghota realizes that he is not squeaky clean, and his supporters realize he must pay for his sins, like they must, if they are found similarly accused. There is NO Doubt that with good legal advise he along with all the Rajapakse’s will plead guilty to some minor misdemeanor, to get off from major indictments, and thus fool the people that they were NOT guilty of the more serious crime. It is for the people to understand how the law works, and know that the suspects are given the benefit of the doubt and were able to get away with the PLUNDER and NOT that they are NOT GUILTY, but the price they will have to pay may come to them after their deaths! In their time there was NO LAW!

We must understand the reality of life. There is luck, good fortune, and that applies      to crooks as well as saints, and ultimately there is justice if not in this world then in      the next!

April 23rd Presidential Address to the nation – A clear statement of an alternative to

The despotic Rajapakse rule that left this Country, in debt, in confusion and with unadulterated corruption, which the corrupt first family is trying to re- impose by saying to a gullible audience that the Rajapakse’s have never taken bribes! Yes 50% off the top as commissions even before the project start was approved. They call it by another name.

In his address to the Nation, the original 100 day plan that finishes today, shows that on April 23rd that Parliament will be disbanded, AFTER the passing of the 19th Amendment.

While mentioning this promise and saying that he had hoped to have come to the table after the amendment which should have passed today, but that the will of the people was prevented by Rogue MPs who had NO interest in Good Governance, but who longed for a further period of the rule of the jungle where they could rape what was left to rape in Sri Lanka. They belittled the value of an MP by their conduct, and the country by their action.

As a result he is extremely sorry that he has not been able to keep to his timetable, and will plead with the public to understand who is at the bottom of trying to scuttle this people’s mandate, who else by the scuttle of all things reasonable, Mahinda Rajapakse.

He MUST reiterate the huge damage this one person has been able to cause to the political fabric of this country, which threw out the old Dictatorship with a promise of a new Democracy. The fact that people of this Country are unable to recognize this significant event is partially due to the poor explanation of what has happened to date, been made clear to the unsuspecting public, and he hopes that they are better informed by a more responsible fourth estate to their duties by the citizenry of Sri Lanka.

There was initially a request to dissolve parliament even though the 19th Amendment had not passed, but it would not be fair by the promise to the citizens that the 19th Amendment was their wish, and they undertook to fulfill that before dissolving.

If they prematurely dissolve, then the haunting happenings of the past are likely to re emerge and that is something we have promised the people we will not let happen.

IT IS THEREFORE VERY IMPORTANT that the people understand that it is a certain set of Parliamentarians backed by the Rajapakse family, and who have guaranteed immunity from prosecution for the big time crooks that there is this show of support and apparent show of support in the nation as they have been bought!

“People do not be fooled by false promises that cannot be fulfilled, understand that        when there are challenges present the task at hand can get a little delayed, but we          are committed to fulfill the pledge we made at the Election. In time all these issues        that have recently been raised will seem trivial, bearing in mind the huge forward          strides of progress with have made to create a status of confidence in the future              course of Government and the promise of Good Governance, enshrined in the                newly amended Constitution to build a truly National Government on a stable base        from which to proceed into a future that is for all Sri Lankans, irrespective of race        and creed and language, but as one People, Sri Lankan only.

Jagath Wijeweera present Director General of Customs (AKA Crook)

is outed as a rogue and a traitor, involved in defrauding the GOSL of Tax Revenues due – who else is complicit?

Read the article in the link in detail including Col Dayananda’s comment, so that one is quite clear as to the intentions of and patriotism of the accuser Kodituwakku who has NO party loyalty and only to his profession and oath he has undertaken to fulfill.

Any other Customs officer who is guilty should own up, and resign before being outed next and made to kneel down, be named and shamed.

You don’t want that for your children’s sake, and for the sake of the neighbors, who have not yet realized that your palace is out of ill gotten gains, at the expense of the people of Sri Lanka.

There is NO witchhunt. Make no bones about the fact that the Country has lost Billions of dollars due to corruption and fraud, and the people have suffered due to this. It is not a zero sum game, and so there has to be a price that has to be paid by those who are guilty.

It will take years for all those guilty and for some of the horrendous crimes of these supposedly upstanding individuals to come to light. Nevertheless they will eventually surface with dire consequences for the perpetrator.

Don’t forget how many years it took for the VAT fraudsters to get caught. They thought the money they defrauded was significant enough to buy their freedom here or overseas. Let me tell you that it is not enough. No amount of money is enough, and it is time the Rajapakses who are shedding crocodile tears realize how much they have taken because to them a billion dollar swindle is pocket change.

Pocket change or not, there is a time when the skeletons come out of the closet and you are naked in the open, having to face your maker and your accuser, you cannot hide under anyone’s coat tails. We must return to a country of law and order, and forever extinguish the desire of some people who believe they are above the law.

Customs has a history of bumping off the honest whilst nurturing the crooked. It is time that it changes. If this DG is in this game he needs to be prosecuted to the fullest for his wrongdoings and face the music big time. Only then will the message trickle down that they cannot get away.

This is a legacy of the Rajapakse legacy of greed that the Customs shared, where effectively every penny they took meant the country was short changed out of 10 pennies, and it all amounts to a huge amount of money. Do not for a moment hanker after a return of the Rajapkase legacy as it has destroyed the lives of thousands of people, because it is peoples money that has been purloined, which would otherwise have given them a better quality of life. So here’s to the 5,000,000 who have really suffered, three cheers!

Mahinda Rajapakse's cunning game plan

The UPFA MPs have NO principles, merely the wish to remain in power for life!

Using the above premise, with the space given to MR by a compliant and “arakku botaleta liyana” media, many of the UPFA MPs who were with MS are now having second thoughts, as MR is now calling them all offering serious money from the Billions of dollars he still has at his disposal, stolen from the people, so that he can make a comeback, not by splitting the UPFA but by effectively taking over the party, leaving MS to scratch his head, that with a few such as Arjuna Ranatunga and MKDS Gunewardena and Duminda Dissanayake will be no match for the rogues who have desecrated this Country, who wish to continue to do so, at the expense of the hapless people who have absolutely no recourse, as their lawmakers and especially the PS members who have squeezed the life out of village communities, will continue their merry making, with people who are imbibed with the lust for power where it corrupts absolutely.

Unless reasonable and patriotic people are convinced of returning to Good Governance, and preventing the threat of taking this country back to the Rajapakse Regime that set this country back so many years, we will be cursed by them for generations to come.

People must understand that by handling stolen money of Rajapakse they will be complicit in the crime of treason of their motherland. SO if they accept his offer, they are knowingly selling their souls to the highest bidder, and they will directly affect the future of their Country, to return to the dark days of division and conflict. It is as well they understand this.

MR is a crafty devil who cannot stay away from active politics, and as he has access to unlimited funds, knows that only money talks in Sri Lanka, as people can be bought cheaply, an act of defiance he has engaged in all his career, especially now. He is therefore scheming to take control of the Government, impeach the President and perhaps get all his powers back while a useless and impotent public watch this sham as they are just completely incompetent to comprehend and thus let happen under their noses.

God help Sri Lanka from its own foolish citizens if they allow this scenario to unfold!
It is important for people to realize how toxic MR is to the well-being of this Country.

It shows how short people’s memories are as they forget when they castigated MR when they were his ministers, that his family were in total control, and now when money is offered are willing to toe the line in the same way they did before. They are no better than prostitutes. MR being the pimp.

Don’t forget that in Sri Lanka, a pliant media, a lot of money (where it comes from is not of any consequence) and a ruthless ex-dictator is all that is needed for a come back and I merely warn our people that they don’t know what has hit them yet. It is the end of the Country as we know it. There is a chance to prevent it from happening, and we have to appeal to the consciences of our leaders that is if they have a bone of sense in them left!

DO NOT GET TAKEN IN BY the rhetoric as that is all it is, and nothing more, which is a desperate attempt at taking over the leadership of this country. Don’t let it happen please.

Does a son have to protest on behalf of his father in Parliament? If so why as there is no basis in law, and he purports to be a lawyer.

The problem with many of the die hard MR supporters is that to them, there is NO LAW but the law of the jungle. So they have either prospered under the MR regime, or blinded by their actions, and as people utterly selfish have not been able to see what is at the heart of the MR regime.

10 Years of appealing to the people’s basest instincts and a desire for people to hero worship a person after winning a war, that appears to give them carte blanche to rape and plunder a country, just because the people are foolish enough to accept whatever the leader does as right, as they are unable or more like incapable of analyzing what is happening just under their own feet, ruining and raping a country of its resources, and making unprincipled decisions by allowing China to make unsolicited investment ideas, without our having the brains to ask why they have come up with. Is it love for us, or for the longer term survival of China, using us a beautiful tropical country, so that there citizens who have more money to throw can have a great retirement at our expense!

The ignorant be it even members of the first family, or not, have no idea why they support a person even if he is a known devil. Is it because we so desperately want a strong rogue, to a less persuasive person of calmer undertones, not making a fool of himself?

Time to wonder very carefully, what the psychology of our people is? Do they want someone to make the decisions without any checks and balances as we are confident he will protect this country? How can we be so foolish as to entrust our Country to people who are likely to ruin it, and we are incapable of stopping their action.

How can anyone in their right minds support any of the policies of Mahinda Rajapakse, especially due to the daily exposure of large scale squandering of the resources of our people which will have to be repaid with interest paid to China at exorbitant interest rates.

There is even a whole class who does not care how much is borrowed and at what interest rate as they believe it is not them who have to pay for it. They have a complete disconnect of who are the citizens of this Country and what their responsibilities as citizens are!

The mind boggles as we try to educate the people on the wrong doings and find it hard for them to comprehend that serious misdemeanors were carried out without any care by the previous administration and people really are hankering for this authoritarian mob to return to continue their activity unimpeded.

There is a complete lack of understanding of what has happened to Sri Lanka since the historic January 8th election.

It is time we explain to them, that they now live in an era that they cannot compare with before. It is simply NOT comparable it is simply as much a difference of chalk and cheese that means that the new order has to be seen in a new light. It is time that the media wake up from their slumber, take up the cudgel and rise up to the occasion before it is too late.

The public has been shortchanged! 114 Nodding Donkey MPs are holding Parliament to ransom – time to stop their madness

The people of Sri Lanka gave their plebiscite on a very specific plan to bring the crooks to book, on 8th January 2015, and endorsed the Constitutional Changes to bring in all measures required for GOOD GOVERNANCE and more power to the Legislature and thereby the Prime Minister as the Head of Govt. in the Legislature. (Does anyone today remember we had doddering OLD DIMU as the PM just a few months ago, making fools of all of us, and worse his son used this position to bring in Drugs big time into the Country!)

It is therefore unconscionable that there are 114 MPs who have signed a petition,( I would like to see the words of the petition they have signed as that HAS NOT been exposed in the Media) objecting to the mere request for MR to be questioned about some of his questionable acts. THE BC has every right and no one can prevent that right as it is guaranteed in the Constitution.

Either way MR has also refused to be questioned, creating a legal problem where he has to be prosecuted in Court for his intransigence. Further the 114 MPs have files of their level of law breaking with Rajapakse and it is obvious they do not wish their transgressions to be outed in public, as none of them deserve re-election.

The main promise of the 100 day program are the provisions contained in the 19th Amendment that is to be debated today, and a final vote taken tomorrow. With the SLFP saying they will vote against it, then there is NO OPTION but to dissolve parliament on Wednesday and go for a General Election, with NONE from the SLFP who vote against the 19th Amendment as required by the people of Sri Lanka, to be given a ticket under that party or UPFA symbol. Let them form another party, and if they so wish they can join with the MR party of rogues, so that all those who have acts of serious crimes against the sovereign state can be outed and shamed in the Election process and if the people of this Country wish to have criminals represent them in Parliament then we may as well hand this country to these bandits and all law abiding citizens have no option but to find a means of leaving these shores or suffer in silence due to the foolish actions of the blind, or mental deviants who prefer a lawless regime, which we definitely had for the period 2005 to 2014 under the leadership of former President Mahinda Rajapakse.

When looking at the excuses of thugs such as Wimal Weerawansa, one cringes at their words, as they are such inebriated nonsensical garbage, that if we anyone accepts they must have their heads examined.

Just as the Speaker has merely stated that if MPs are called by the Bribery Commission he must merely be informed as he is the person who guards the rights of the MPs, that is fine. INFORMED. This DOES NOT APPLY to ex-president Mahinda, as he is NOT an MP, and therefore falls out of this definition.

Time for the people to try and understand the true colors of these hopeless legislators who have been elected, and in a future election express their disgust by NOT electing them. When MR says he’s roud to be called by the BC as a gift, you know he is mentally deranged.

Monday, April 20, 2015

The Speaker is completely out of line IF he has summoned the DG Bribery Commission to explain why his BRO has been called to answer questions!

Firstly what has happened to “Yahapalanaya” Where Chamal is asking the DG to answer why MR who is not an MP is called to answer Questions~  He should recuse himself and ask someone else to opine as he is not an independent party here!

Secondly the PURPOTED 84 MPs who signed a petition are ALSO out of line as it is NOT in their purview to question what the DG of the Bribery Commission has asked, as they have the power to question anyone and don’t have to answer to anyone as to WHY!!!

So WHERE IS THE MEDIA IN NOT EXPLAINING TO THE READER why the opposition MPs are out of line in their request, and they are ONLY making a spectacle of themselves for Media to report, and as usual the dumb media fell for it.

The PUBLIC are being made fools of by the MPs and the MEDIA. The public who should be informed of what is right and wrong, and proper procedure are not being apprised of the law, and what the Speaker can and cannot do, and leave it to the imagination to find out if those jokers in Parliament are within their rights or not.

Petitions of the MPs are of NO VALUE. So why are they doing this? Simply so the Moronic Sri Lankan slaves called the Media, who will sell their mothers for the proverbial bottle of arrack can indulge in the worst form of journalism possible, and make a fool of themselves to those who are knowledgeable and trick the unsuspecting person into believing the opposite of what is true.

Time for some strong words for the media, from a respected person out of the political fray to remind them of their duty. If a politician does this the Media will take revenge on that politician, such is the lack of credibility of Sri Lanka media, and fail to understand that criticism of their part is fair, and that they MUST seriously change if they are to restore the credibility they lost in 10 years of MR rule where they ate from his table in every sense of the word, prostituting their profession to the highest bidder!

MR has NO rights under the Constitution as he is NOT a Parliamentarian. He is simply a citizen who has made humongous mistakes and is asked to explain himself. So for example if the allegation is small, like that he promised a Cabinet post to Tissa Attanayake for crossing over, then he has bribed TA into leaving his party, and is clearly a bribe to defect at a crucial moment, and must pay the price of breaking the law, so what’s the fuss?

Gota is sulking saying there is a conspiracy, as he is another pig headed buffoon who cannot understand that he too has erred and so is held to account for those transgressions, no matter how well he behaved or what other services he rendered that were good. People who feel proud of their accomplishments cannot take blame for their sins, and that lack of humility is what makes them, unworthy of any flattery or remembered for their positive actions as they are too swollen headed in their own image building to forget that it is all just hot air that can blow over and be replaced by cold air when they are unable to blow their own trumpet and anymore. Let sense prevail and the LAW FINALLY TAKE ITS COURSE.

Rupavahini completely missed the auspicious time of 9.06 am on April 15th 2015

A significant date and time of the Presidential Diary was the National Oil Anointing Ceremony as a tradition where the cure of oil being rubbed into the head signifies cure and health of the individual and blessings for the health of the Nation.

Rupavahini in my presence was broadcasting the event live to the people of the Country, and in the process at 9.04 went to a paid advertisement! When they returned it was after over 30 seconds from 9.06 am the auspicious time. They missed it!!! The priest at the Jayanthi temple rubbing the oil on the President’s head!

WAS THIS DONE DELIBERATELY? Or was it merely an accident? I don’t have the answer to this, but whatever the answer is some heads or head MUST ROLL! When they cover this event live, to go to a Commercial Break so close to the auspicious time, is in itself suicidal. So I cannot believe a responsible person took this decision, and my suspicions lie in some supporter of the previous regime, doing his piece to help the jokers who gave him his politically induced job at the Rupavahini Corporation, decided that he owes it to his patron, to cut the new President’s moment in the limelight.

Does Somaratne Disananayke the new Chairman of the Rupavahini Corporation know this happened? I rather suspect not! If he is made aware of will he take note, make inquiries and take action if he suspects foul play or at least demote the people responsible for this mistake? If he does not then he is seriously derelict in his duties to his sponsor for appointing him, as that is but one aspect of what he is supposed to do within his ambit of running this Organization in a manner that is fair by the people whom they serve due to their monopolistic or oligopolistic position they retain with the ITN.

I wonder if the President’s Office also noticed this particular faux pas or deliberate act of political vengeance against the incumbent President.

It is time that this media, that exerts so much power over the people and which MR abused to the full to present and form opinion, by enslaving the population with lies and innuendo, is finally held accountable to the people, whom they serve to provide objective news, and report with as little bias as possible, whilst ensuring the affairs of state are followed, without giving undue attention to the former President MR who it appears is given an undue share of publicity over and above that which he is deserving of in a media that is attempting finally to gain the moral high ground after a 10 year period of unadulterated bias towards one family not just one alliance, namely the UPFA.

Of course our readers and viewers and listeners so used to being fed Trollope on the squak box cannot even distinguish if they have been barred deliberately or accidentally from an important event of news, are not able to complain, or worse notice this act of omission.

Consumers and the General Public be warned of the fact that there are numerous players bent on destroying our new found freedom, as that is not conducive to the overall game of destroying the country for personal gain that some still harbor, as the ethos of the previous administration. Make your neighbors aware of the destructive forces still giving life!

New Year - New Hope and let us not return to the dark ages - Lest We Forget!

The New Year Dawns with new hope for a Nation struggling to get a grip on what kind of Government it wants, and a skeptical populace not knowing which way matters will unfold and wish to hedge their bets in case the worst traitor of this nation Mahinda raises his ugly head again, due to the utter foolishness of a grossly ignorant and easily duped electorate.

So here is just the simple formula for all to follow, that will assure this country of the checks and balances that will re-establish the much maligned words called “good governance” which will dramatically reduce the likelihood of a repeat of this wholesale destruction we have suffered for the past 10 years.

The chattering classes cannot understand that we have an independent judiciary that ruled against some important points of the 19th Amendment (with no interference of the Executive unlike in the past) that give more powers to the PM taken from the President. So under the present amendment, the President will retain some powers, but the appointment of th4e independent commissions as existed due to the 17th Amendment will nevertheless permit impartial appointments to the high places that will curtail the gross abuse of power that we saw in the previous administration.

We have hope that matters will be for the better, and that people will be able to see through the various guises that MR and his band of sycophants are attempting to hoodwink an unsuspecting mass of ignoramuses into a return to the heady days of chaos and confusion in the belief that it is stability and consistency. Consistent Robbing maybe, but is that what the people want, stability of knowing we are not able to utter a word against the crooks, rogues and plunderers, with no freedom for the media.

It is now the duty of the media to explain without delay to the misinformed public that the Tsunami that took place on January 8th has changed the status quo so much that what a journalist is permitted to say, should not affect the ability of the people to realize that it was the most corrupt, family centric organization that has been overthrown, and that now the savings to the Country amount to Rs500M a day that is saved for the people, and that no amount of criticism today can come close to even touching the sordid period of wholesale daylight robbery of the state resources that occurred. The Fact that intelligent people have also bought into that lie says a lot of their intelligence and education, just a false picture of their ability to reason, and ascertain the facts.

We are about to launch a system of Government that return the sovereignty to the people and let NO ONE try to scupper this basic good. When we have few people left in SL who can tell the difference between good and evil, there is a credibility problem that needs to be overcome. It is this credibility that we are now fighting to preserve, against all the odds.

Time to understand that anything is better than the pre 8th January scenario. We owe it to our future to ensure that we do all that it takes to wipe the name of the Rogue Rajapakse family from our History forever, just like he tried to wipe the name of Fonseka from his and his futile attempt to rewrite the Mahawansa to suit his personal ego.

It is time these traitors are finally brought to book so they desist from provoking this country any further, and boldly challenge their downfall as some foreign aggression.

Politics has lost its head, hands, face and body – let’s throw it out forthwith.

Is there a truly concerned citizen of Sri Lanka, who wants to get into Politics for altruistic reasons? If there is one without money to throw around, I cannot find anyone, as they just don’t have a chance. People are unable to distinguish between the person who is willing to be the servant of the people and the politician who wants to be the lord of the people.

There-in lies the distinction. There are strange bedfellows at work, and alliances that are irrational, and we expect people to forgive and forget. IN such a highly politicized country, people’s feelings are easily upset, and when politicians act in ways, that others disapprove, even the politician cannot figure out why he or she has fallen out of favor, due to some minor transgression of an act of omission or commission that is looked at unfavorably.

It is for this reason that I do not wish to enter the fray, as there are too many expectations that are humanly hard if not impossible to fulfil. Be if non-attendance of a funeral house, unbeknownst to one, can cause as much damage as going to one of the opposing camp. Actually the latter can reach more people especially converts to your cause and be more productive, but is NOT seen as such by your own party supporters, to whom one has to constantly give credence.

Politics SL style requires face time, name recognition, constant presence at functions, listening to unending speeches, and being on the right side of the local mainly Buddhist Clergy who have a powerful and actually destructive hold on their flock. They are able to manipulate, threaten and contrive reasons for wasting funds on the welfare of temples, which are NOT in want.

Therefore people who should be in the legislature, will not even consider it as they have better things to do with their time. It can be argued therefore that due to this required time wasting on useless functions it is best to just have people who have nothing better to do to enter this field!!! That is a preposterous hypotheses for our politicians and lawmakers!

Functions in 2015 are a waste of time. We have to wean the people from this need to have politicos attend every silly event, where in reality their presence should NOT add any useful purpose. Time is taken away from important affairs of state of running the Country to attend, a book launch, giving prefects their badges, or placing the crown on a stupa! Why must an elected representative do this? I can quote numerous more examples of this, but it is truly wasteful to get a politician to drive for miles to attend this. Signing for weddings is another in a long line of wasteful duties!!

These days it is New Year Festivals where lighting the oil lamps, and giving speeches are the order of the day. Then there are sports meets, prize givings, placing foundation stones or opening of minor buildings added to this list, and it is never ending.

Let us gradually stop this nonsense that does not exist in most countries, and expect efficiency, reliability responsibility and accountability from our overloaded politicians.

Unprecedented snub for the President !

National Anointing Festival -  Kaduruwela 15th April 2015, 9.06am

This national festival was devoid of MPs Roshan Ranasinghe, and Siripala Gamlath (Nipuna Mudalali) who should be staunch supporters of their local man as President. It says a lot about them, one a deadly rogue, who has squeezed the lifeblood of the peasant farmers by purchasing paddy at rock bottom prices and sells at 100% markup. This is further exacerbated by the inability of the Govt. to purchase paddy at the guaranteed price which results in Nipuna taking the stuff at rock bottom of Rs28 instead of Rs 50!

Roshan Ranasinghe one must be reminded, used his goons to attack Maithri election meetings in Polonnaruwa and therefore has NO love lost, as he is a firm Mahinda supporter, as that has been a boon to his considerable and unconscionable business dealings, for profit, but by cornering the market for popular spare parts, with his considerable purchasing power in a monopolistic manner.

If that was NOT enough the Pradeshiya Sabha members were absent, and if they have the gall and the daring to abandon Maithri,  he is going to have a difficult time finding replacements, who have popular appeal, and is he going to give the ticket to those who have abandoned him? This SNUB is unprecedented in Electoral history. A newly elected President completely abandoned by his own party faithful in his own constituency!

The issue is that ALL the PS members in Polonnaruwa are crooks, who supported and in turn were supported by MR. MR in short allowed them freedom to steal, and rape the land, as long as they were loyal to him and now they obviously feel they have no place in an administration of Good Governance but only in one of total destruction a la MR return to the period of selling of the Country to the highest bidder without concern for their children’s future as they hope that future would be out of Sri Lanka after they have successful denuded it of anything worth saving.

The UNP is not able to capitalize on this void as they are equally split within their camp. I noticed that Donald and Colonne were absent, playing their own game of personal politics.
Vasantha Senanayake is wondering what kind of election he needs to contest, as it could be simply in Polonnaruwa, which is the seat of the sitting President, and the numerable challenges he will have to face. THE UNP as a party is desperately in need of unity. With Donald only helping Sajith to build his fame, he is at daggers drawn with Sidney and the two are NOT too happy that Vasantha has stolen a march on both. Now with Prishantha Gunewardena gone awol from the section of Minneriya that goes to Bakamuna that creates a further void that needs filling.

The winner in all this, the national traitor Mahinda who again appears to hoodwink the masses yet again with his suave persona, a very dangerous precedent in the politics of the mirage, that easily duped uneducated PhDs are taken in by this rhetoric as much as the impressionable Pied Piper masses.

This chance of taking Polonnaruwa for the UNP is evident, but the UNP hierarchy is blind deaf and dumb to this once in a life time opportunity, to regain this District with a program, which requires detailed explanations common folk can relate to, accept and understand,

Another JOKER outed! This time it is the turn of DM Gunesekera

I had the fortune or misfortune of meeting DM when he was an AGM in some section, when I went to investigate the possibility of obtaining some finance, or bridging finance in case we were short of funds, and could use client’s share portfolios as collateral, and I was not impressed at all by this affable old soul, and was shocked to learn when he was made the GM of this large bank a few years later. So I guess it was about 6 years since I met him.

In all the news items, they note that he is a highly qualified banker! I guess that may be paper qualifications, and I don’t know how good he was. In any case just being informed that he has been removed, I would like to know the actual reasons, as they were not specific.

Apparently the Board of the BOC had NOT been informed or had not approved the establishment of the Seychelles branch, and therefore he is getting the flack thrown at him for this and no doubt knowing him he WOULD NOT have acted on his own accord to do so, but would have taken orders by superiors aka Rajapakse cronies to take this action.

He is the fall guy, if this was his main sin. However investigations are continuing to see if he has received any backhanders for granting huge overdraft facilities to the likes of the Perpetual Group to do bond trading, as the collateral they were able to offer would a enable them to carry huge overdraft for this type of transaction.

No doubt in time we may know the truth, or at least what he is accused of, and what evidence there is to corroborate those accusations.

I presume that as it is a state Bank the Finance Minister has the authority to suspend his services, presumably at full pay, until investigations are complete. I hope this is a warning to the juniors in the Bank who also took the same line, of using their power to earn a buck or too illegally on the side, due to the massive kickbacks that are offered for such people, who are dazzled at the thought of making the big time, when they deal in billions in lines of credit everyday.

So now what next for DM, and who will be his stand in heir apparent. I hope it is NOT a case of the finance Minister putting a crony of his there, and worse put a staffer below whose true colors have not been firmly established, whether he is a MR loyalist or neutral operator.

It has come to our attention that hovering in the higher echelons of the Bank are a bunch of MR operators bent on wrecking the chances of the bank, to put the blame on the current govt. and I so that is another point that must be considered. It is quite unprecedented to remove the GM of a Bank who has been a lifer in the bank as his credibility in now in ruin  and he is tainted with colors unimaginable.

So DM for your sake I hope you can prove that it was not you who made all these bad judgments, but you were forced to make these against you will, as it was Namal Baby who was really running the show at BOC insisting that his unqualified cronies be put into jobs at the lower end of the scale, and requesting NO DEMANDING that his friends and aides, get loan facilities, even without the necessary collateral. Let all other Bankers be on notice!

Not again – We cannot have religion and race based parties to lead the opposition.

It is the most ludicrous suggestion if ever I heard of such to either have the Muslim Congress or the Tamil National Alliance as the Opposition Party from which the leader of the Opposition is chosen. Are people of this country out of their tiny minds, as it just aggravates racial divides in the Country that is making all sorts of strides to rid itself of its racial segregation.

We MUST therefore end all race and religion based parties in the long-term, and to that end not encourage this separatism within. The problem with a National Government is that only those parties within the Govt. coalition will be in the Govt. and those that are NOT are technically in the opposition. If there is a party that has the largest number of seats then they lay claim to the Leader of the Opposition status, which in 1970 meant that the Tamils got that status and the rest we know is history.

Do not forget that at the 1970 general election, the UNP still had the highest polled votes in the election, but due to the distribution of those votes, were decimated in parliament with fewer members than the Tamil parties that had less than 10% of the votes of the UNP but had more MPS the most anomalous of situations in the first past the post system of Govt.

So even the JVP that has hardly any parliamentary representation, though they have a greater number of voters for them than the Tamil Parties put together, will be on the sidelines, when technically they should form the Leader of the Opposition.

It is in this background that some accommodation needs to be made in this government to rectify this anomalous situation.

Anyway it is time we have a different approach to what it means to be an opposition, and with this new government where we don’t know who is who, and the confusion reigns, then having a small minority representing the opposition is only bound to inflame people’s already passionate feelings.

Actually this word National Govt. is another word that is hard to understand where the PM wants all parties involved, but then without an opposition, then who represents the views of people in the Country opposed to the National Government will not be presented by either the JVP or any of the small parties, as they represent a very jaundiced and prejudiced view of a very small segment of the population.

I was told that the speaker is consulting texts of British Parliamentary procedure to determine how to approach this subject, but I don’t know if there is precedent that can be used. I am not certain that there was a National Government in wartime, but that is a completely special case as the circumstances warrant.

Supposing the Mahinda faction, namely the rogues of the previous regime, who will NOT get a ticket, form their own breakaway party, they will have a representation of about 50MPs from which they can form the opposition as in official till the next elections. This would be the most sensible compromise under the circumstances. A lot will depend on the 19th Amendment passing on Friday, 10th April, as if it does not pass the parliament will be dissolved.
